Job Description

The role as Senior Demand Planner (d/f/m) is responsible for overall analysis, planning and communication about all demands regarding our Hoya products. The main purpose is to be the central connecting point between the internal EMEA functions and the main supplier in Singapore and Thailand.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Active analysis of the demand- and supply situation
  • Optimize and further develop existing demand planning tools
  • Internal and external point of contact for demand planning of our IOL products
  • Central point of contact and closely related to customers service and sales force and our main supplier in Singapore/Thailand
  • Review and qualify forecast from different areas and update the monthly purchase plan
  • Improve Availability and reduce DSI figures
  • Crisis and backlog management towards suppliers
  • Actively drive the development of processes in cooperation with the employees in Supply chain by creating proposing new standards
  • Analysis, structuring, determination and optimization of processes and reviewing of existing processes around demand planning of IOL’s
  • Collect and combine available forecast information with historical data to create the most potential purchase plan and inventory levels of our IOL-Products.
  • Owner of the weekly communication in all directions (internal EMEA and between Supplier and HSOE)
  • Documentation of processes in the quality management tool
  • Documentation and information of all related parties on backorder and delivery situation (from Supplier side)
  • Leading and participate several cross-functional and global projects

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant vocational/technical training or proven work experience of at least three years in a related area 

 

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years relevant demand planning experience 
  • Experience in handling of medical products (or comparable)
  • Management of sterilized products incl. shelf-life management

 

Skills

  • Professional Excel- and good ERP-knowledge 
  • Inventory management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal and intercultural skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Self-Confidence, dynamic character, and assertiveness
  • Hands on mentality

 

Languages

  • Business fluent in English and in German
