Solutions Architect Digital and CRM

Job Description

The Solutions Architect Digital and CRM evaluates business needs for Digital and CRM solutions, defines best practices, principles, and architectural blueprints and determines technology solutions leveraging software, hardware or infrastructure. S/he is responsible for the development of the overall vision that underlies the projected solution in support of business goals and executes that vision through technical implementation. 
S/he is part of a team consisting of digital and technology experts who support and actively promote the digital transformation of HOYA Surgical Optics. From feasibility assessments to solution scoping, conceptual design and delivery s/he will be the driving force of the architecture, delivery and technical product roadmap.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Business Leads, Product Owners, Development teams and Customers to develop solution architecture for secured digital products and services
  • Define the digital experience architectural framework, standards, and principles, including frontend, metadata, security, reference architecture and interfaces with back-office systems
  • Define technical aspects of CRM platform, including system configuration, data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, 3rd party applications ensuring effective deployment of the enterprise-wide CRM solution
  • Provide a standard common business vocabulary, express strategic requirements, outline high-level integrated designs to meet those requirements, and align with enterprise strategy and related business architecture
  • Ensure value for money in digital solutions, by supporting the creation of benefit cases and maximizing the outcome of deployed solutions
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including user interface layouts, data streams, integrations, transformations, and business processes
  • Lead brainstorming sessions to develop potential solutions for business needs or problems
  • Analyse the business impact that technical choices may have on business processes
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Evaluate system architecture and collaborate within the IT organization to improve the architecture
  • Supervise and guide development teams to develop scalable solutions and products



  • Multi-year work experience as Solutions Architect for customer focused digital solutions for Digital Commerce, eBusiness etc. on web and mobile platforms
  • Sound professional experience in the design and implementation of digital solution architectures



  • Completed technical training/university studies in the field of computer science or comparable



  • Proven experience in CRM Solution implementation (e.g, Salesforce, HubSpot, Freshsales)
  • Knowledge of Content Management, Digital Asset Management, Product Information Management, Customer Relationship Management etc. (Drupal/Acquia experience essential)
  • Demonstrable experience in an Application Development role with full stack digital solution development based on established technology frameworks
  • Excellent technology know-how and knowledge of service-oriented or microservice based architectures
  • Ability to define security framework and tools for secured digital solution development
  • Proven experience with gathering, analyzing system requirements and managing projects and changes in a dynamic environment
  • Understanding of the different types of agile principles, methodologies and ideation frameworks, especially those designed to be scaled at the enterprise level
  • Good working knowledge of cloud-based deployment and operation of solutions
  • Understanding of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF/COBIT) is a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills and quick to grasp new concepts
  • Independent and highly proactive
  • Excellent engagement skills and able to steer the technical solution teams.
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Able to articulate vision, new ideas and concepts to internal and external technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Ability to balance the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term implications of individual decisions and organization goals



  • Fluency in English is mandatory, German-speaking is an advantage
