Yoshinao Ishii brings more than 20 years of experience in the intraocular lens (IOL) industry at HOYA, where he has played a key role in the growth and development of the company’s IOL business since joining in 2006.

He has held leadership roles across marketing, strategic planning, product management, and cross-functional business execution.

In Japan, Ishii-san served as Marketing & Strategic Planning Manager, supporting the expansion of HOYA Surgical Optics during a period when the business achieved the No. 1 market share in the Japanese IOL market.

In 2018, he relocated to HOYA Surgical Optics’ global headquarters in Singapore as Product Director, where he has led global marketing initiatives, portfolio strategy, and product lifecycle management across international markets, as well as major cross-functional product transition programs.

Ishii-san holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan.
