Leadership Team

Krip Punja brings extensive global leadership experience in operations, supply chain, research and development, and strategic project execution in the ophthalmology industry. He has played a key role in strengthening operational capabilities, expanding manufacturing capacity, improving productivity and supporting the long-term growth of HOYA Surgical Optics.

Since joining HOYA Surgical Optics, Krip has held several senior leadership positions, including Global Head of Operations, Global Head of R&D, and Senior Vice President of Strategic Projects. His experience includes establishing a new manufacturing facility in Lamphun, Thailand, creating a global distribution center in Bangkok, setting up the company’s Global Ophthalmology Innovation Center in Irvine, California and supporting the establishment of a manufacturing entity in Suzhou, China. Earlier in his career, he held product development and operations leadership roles with Surmodics, Baxter Healthcare, AMO and Allergan.

Krip holds an Executive MBA from Claremont McKenna College, a Master of Science in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Florida, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mysore.
